Accessibility
Our aim: a website that as many people as possible can use independently.
This statement describes the evaluation of secondunit.com, the methods used and known limitations.
1Scope and aim
This statement covers the public German and English pages at https://secondunit.com, including the contact form, appointment booking flow and application form. The internal workspace was additionally checked using test accounts.
Our design and development aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This voluntary statement describes our measures and evaluation results; it is not a certification or a claim of full conformance.
2Evaluation methods and date
The technical evaluation date is 22 October 2026. The published public routes in both languages were checked in desktop and mobile views using automated axe-core audits and additional checks of contrast and design system states.
Browser-based functional checks include navigation, keyboard operation in selected flows, forms, dialogs, mobile layouts and reduced-motion presentation. Internal workflows were additionally checked in a test environment.
Automated checks cover only part of the requirements. A complete manual WCAG evaluation and comprehensive testing with screen readers and people with different disabilities have not been performed. We therefore do not claim full accessibility.
3Known limitations and evaluation boundaries
- The downloadable PDF summary of an application has not been evaluated as an accessible, fully structured PDF. The confirmation and reference number are also available directly on the website as text.
- Linked external applications, including Microsoft sign-in, Bookings, Teams and the CorInnoHiveMAP demo, are outside the scope of our technical evaluation. Their accessibility depends on the respective provider.
- Complex animations use simplified or static presentations when reduced motion is enabled. We cannot conclusively confirm readability and operation with every combination of browser and assistive technology.
If you encounter a barrier, your feedback helps us investigate and improve it. Please contact us if you need content in another accessible format.
4Measures supporting accessible use
- Structured headings, labelled form fields and understandable error messages.
- Visible keyboard focus and operation of navigation, accordions and dialogs without a mouse.
- Contrast requirements in the shared design system and support for reduced-motion preferences.
- Layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and magnification.
- Regular technical checks when the website changes.
5Feedback and contact
Please report barriers or accessibility questions by email to impressum@secondunit.com. Where possible, include the page address, the action you wanted to perform, your browser and any assistive technology used. We will review your request and reply through your chosen contact channel.
